In Sanskrit the word Yoga means to unite or to bring together, recognising that all the different aspects of our lives are interconnected: eg our body, the way we hold ourselves, move, breathe, think, act and make decisions. Yoga practise involves working with whole system holistically - with postures and movement, breathing and reflective /meditative practice. Breathing is a particularly important aspect of yoga practise as a long steady breath is used to guide movement and support the body, to create a reflective, focussed and meditative experience.
Yoga is a versatile discipline which can be used in many different ways. For example a practice can be relaxing, energising, strengthening or therapeutic. When practised regularly yoga can enhance physical stability, flexibility, strength and mobility, and can support improved posture, digestion and circulation, aid relaxation and bring about a sense of well-being and peace of mind. Yoga can also help to readdress imbalance of energy and help with sleeping problems, stress, anxiety or depression as well as supporting the recovery from injury or illness.

Individual yoga sessions and yoga therapy sessions which last between 60 - 90 minutes.
These sessions can be used to develop a short personalised practise to use regularly at home. The practice will be tailored specifically to your body, your needs and interests and will be designed to fit around your other daily commitments.
60 minute sessions cost £30 and 90 minute sessions cost £40
